Stick a straw in my wound and taste my heart beating.

If you thought Eminem was the only white rapper who had it tough, then you've probably never heard of the name Chris Palko, better known as Cage. A slick rapping sensation, Cage has been through everything. Abused by his discharged, heroin addicted father, kicked out of high school, overmedicated in a mental hospital, nearly releasing a record with Columbia, getting shit talked by Eminem, and teaming up with Tame One to make the Leak Bros, this stellar artist has not only chronicles to tell, but an amount of them that may seem uncanny to the average former drug dealing, rags to riches, hip-hop performer. If you don't believe me, listen to Shia LeBouf, who has told Spin Magazine that he supposedly became so inspired by his story as to make a biopic of Cage (in which LeBouf is expected to play Cage.) Check out this track from his album Movies For The Blind.

You don't believe in Heaven 'cause we're living in Hell.

Upon exploring the dope abysses of upstate New York, I, Real Talk, was found looking for a good flick to end the week. Lo and behold, I found myself somewhat intrigued by what The Wackness could possibly be about. Turned out it had everything I needed in that Sunday night: a plot that put you in a pensive mood, hints of stoner comedy, a vintage feel, and, best of all, undertones of teenage love. Throughout the film, bits and pieces of 90s Hip-Hop are thrown out there, and, as expected, I found myself in love with some more older Hip-Hop once again. As a result, I can do nothing at this point but say that Raekwon is a god among men, and here is one of his slower raps, where the beat is smooth, the rap is...not as hard as Sean P's, but nonetheless hypnotizing. Check it out, and go see The Wackness.

Large Pro: Under The Radar.

To say Marco Polo is a decent producer is a complete understatement. Growing up an avid hip-hop fan in Canada, Marco knew that his opportunity to engage in the action would be nowhere else than the Big Apple. Thus, he did just so, moving there, setting up a career as a hip-hop producer, and most importantly, getting some of the finest hip-hop underground artists to collaborate with him on his first album. Prepare to get mind fucked by this track from Large Professor.
