I don't usually bump/look for new Southern shit cuz radio is steady overplaying everything that mentions a platinum grill or a chevy. BUT I did find some really quality tracks the past couple of days that are all from the south/have that vibe. Please cop these tracks and roll around in w/e your driving and floss like you are actually a G.
I know I haven't posted in forever, but it's cuz Gillie and me have been 2 busy making diss videos. Sometimes when you are filled with so much hate it's hard to do anything but...hate. Anyway I am coming back in a big way!!
First of all, everyone is incredibly siked for Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Pt.2. Not many tracks have leaked, I think only Wu-Oh...correct me if I'm wrong. However, there are some tracks that have leaked over the years that COULD be on the album. I found these tracks, most of em I didn't have today, but I remember about two years ago when I first heard Blue Eagles and went insane...damn, somebody please find the completed version cuz in my opinion its a CLASSIC track. On the real tho, I love all of these tracks to death--but maybe that is just because Raekwon is my favorite Wu member along with Ghost. Anyway, here are the tracks:
Speaking of Ghostface- when the fuck is the collabo album wth Mf Doom coming out!? They dropped that track Angels awhile back which I will upload when I get back to my hardrive, but since then very little has been heard...whatever...Until then we have Mf Doom's new album called Born Like This, the masked man is going by DOOM now. Peep some of the new tracks!
Here is a familiar voice, anyone familiar with MF Doom and Madlib have prolly heard Stacy Epps' smooth as fuck voice by now...she just dropped a track with DOOM on the production...real nice. Stacy Epps - Deep (Prod. DOOM)
So apparently Clipse is in the studio with Rick Rubin. I don't need to tell you how excited I am. For now, check out this track that came out in between Lord Willin' and Hell Hath No Fury--FIRE.
Well...I have a lot more dopeness for you guys...I spent about two hours today NOT doing any of my work- Instead I was just chilling on the internet finding new Hip Hop blogs...nerding out...well at least you get to reap the fruits of my labor!
Big Pooh of Little Brother just dropped this single...I'm really feeling it. I always liked Pooh best over hard beats like this one rather than the smooth bangers 9th was making. Big Pooh - Radio
I was gonna post these tracks regardless of their quality cuz the titles are fresh for two reasons. I Get It In Ohio is dope because I live in Ohio now, and Cookies & Applejuice is just fucking hilaroius. The names of the tracks are fresh but more surprisingly the tracks aren't bad either..save for the bootleg quality of Cookies & Applejuice and the idiotic shutouts at the end of I Used To Get It In Ohio.
This is officially the jam in Dascomb right now...everyone is singing/bumping this track. This remix amps it up a lil'...I'm prolly gonna be guilty of only playing Mano remixes when I dj. T Pain - Chopped And Screwed (Mano Remix)
I mean, if you knew J-Zone you would automatically recognize his production on this track, but I should still tell you so you download the track. It isn't incredible obviously...The Lonely Island is that dude from SNL. The track is hilarious tho...talking about Carlos Santana making champagne HA! And once again....J Zone produced it! The Lonely Island -Santana DVX (ft. E-40)
I thought I had to add a lil' Gillie in this post for all my Philadelphia cats. This video isn't really funny. It's kind of just disturbing and upsetting. Gillie really doesn't play around. He should win some sort of award for being the most overexposed, hateful, and generally whack person ever.
I also posted a response from "Dirty Rik" aka the ?child molester? I don't understand how Gillie has so much beef. Maybe Philadelphia is just a cursed city, I can't really name more than two rappers who are friends...they all hate each other. But on the real this video is really really depressing, some qoutes: "I sat in jail for three years"..."You gotta let me in"..."If you ain't feeling me just say so".
OH WAIT!! BONUS BONUS BONUS!! DO NOT MISS THIS!!! 1.Pet Sounds 2.Sloop Jay D 3.Let’s Go Away For A While 4.I Just Wasn’t Made For These Times 5.Here Today 6.God Only Knows 7.You Still Believe in Dee 8.I Know There’s No Answer 9.Wouldn’t It Be Nice 10.That’s Not Dee 11.I’m Waiting For The Day 12.Don’t Talk (Close Your Eyes)
This dude mashed up J Dilla and The Beach Boys...I was incredibly surprised when it was actually DOPE AS FUCK and definitely, at the least, didn't do a disservice to either legendary musicians. Do not miss this. Bullion - Pet Sounds In the Key of Dee
Of course I'd give y'all this. Being one of my favorite artists ever, here's where you can get the complete set of all the mixtapes dropped during the Hamiltonization Process.
Don't forget to check out his blog from time to time..He drops shit frequently on there but Slick Talkin' will always pick up the slack when you're a lazy shit.
"Detox" is coming soon! *Laughs* that shit's been on hold for three fucking years. Regardless, this song goes hard. Unfortunately, like in Crack A Bottle where Eminem does Dre's verse, T.I. covers Dre's verse in this one.
New Jeezy joint. This one has *inhales* Jeezy, Slick Pulla, Roccett, Blood Raw, Boo, 211, Dopey, Sneezy, Achy, Coughing, Sniffing, Gobo, Mokey, Red, Wembley and Boober..I think..Off the "Shield Gang 2" mixtape.
This guy's been around for quite awhile, but been on his grind as of recent. Heard his name mentioned before, seen it around from time to time, but never listened to him until this just dropped. Listen here: Do. Not. Sleep. On. This. Kid.
West Coastttt shit. This is my second favorite "Juice" behind the one from Chicago (obviously much better than this dude) but still this Juice from The Game's Black Wall Street label is sick. Got some hot features from Crooked I, Ya Boy, K-Dot, Rich Boy and more. I've always liked Cannon as a producer, too. Good combo.
Holy Christ I can't keep up with this guy anymore.
Funny concept behind this one..It's called "Every Charles Hamilton Ex-Girlfriend's Worse Nightmare." He said it's their worst nightmare "because if your name doesn't appear on the track listing, we were never together." Gotta love this dude.
Forgot to drop this one on y'all the other day. A few days after droppin' his kick ass Well Isn't This Awkward tape, Charles decided to drop yet another tape in honor of his 1,000th blogpost! He also did a song by song breakdown of WITAand there's a pretty cool concept behind the whole tape. So cop both and enjoy!
This was originally suppose to be on GZA's "Paper Plates" track but GZA aimed the third verse at Fifty Cent instead. Could you imagine what a GZA x Blu x RZA joint would sound like? Good god.
Sickkkkkkk song. Off of Black Milk's Tronic (I'll provide you a link later) and also Royce's The Album (it's really The Bar Exam 2). If you don't like this song, Black's production, or either of these two as emcees you are retarded.
Now we have a new joint by Cage! One of my fav emcees. Dude's dope and Eminem bit his style (Cage was the first white guy to rap about death and crazy shit like scalpin' motherfuckers)
So with great joy and a long absence since his last classic LP, I give you a new track off his upcoming album Depart From Me, which will drop on June 29th.
And to commemorate the anniversary of the passing of one of hip-hop's illyest producers ever (Dilla R.I.P.) I'd like to drop this old mixtape on y'all mixed together by Mick Boogie awhile back. Classic shit with Dilla beats and Busta Rhymes lyrics.
New Wale jawn off his upcoming mixtape Back to the Feature. Should be ill, and I've liked this dude for a realllll minute. Features Young Chris and Tre of UCB.
Nero over a Dilla beat. Here's what he had to say about this one:
In a lot of people’s eyes, this is the best song I’ve ever written. It was meant to be the showstopper on Nero Reinvents the Rubik’s Cube, but due to unfortunate circumstances, I felt it necessary to release the record now. Composed by Jay Dee himself.
Some dope coast shit. Ever wonder what Joell Ortiz, Joe Buddens, Royce Da 5'9", and Crooked I would sound like if they formed some kind of group that made illy music? Well, they did, and their penmanship is sick. Joell KILLS the track with the first verse, but everyone else goes hard, including Nino Bless in the second verse. It's a few weeks old, but this one ain't losing it's replay value anytime soon. They got more shit coming out too, so keep a lookout up here cause you know we'll drop it.
Old LP, but by far the BEST one I've ever heard. No skipped tracks on this piece, straight dope flow coming from the kid in L.A. Blu's personal lyrics over Exile's kick ass beats made this one of the top three best albums of 07.
Here's some shit to hold you down until Sucka Free Sunday.
Ever hear of Nero? I don't mean the dude who let Rome burn, but Nero who burnt this Primo beat. Dude's been around for awhile, I got respect for his shit. Will post up his previously dropped mixtape sometime soon. Happy Saturday night muthafuckaz.
That's right. You fucking heard it from the one and only Slick Talkin'. Raekwon is back, and he's here with an unstoppable entourage that has most definitely been seen more than once through the eyes of a hip-hop connoisseur: Method Man and Ghostface Killah.
The background is typical of Raekwon: a clip of the chorus from an old-fashioned song that plays well with the beat and verses. The beat is a more modern type of drum beat effect, something unheard of on OB4CL (Only Built 4 Cuban Linx), but if anything, it adds more flavor to the track. And the rhymes...don't even get me started. Method Man keeps it solid with his usual, low pitched, consistent-sounding verses. Raekwon has the smooth flow to his verses that is one of a kind. As for Ghostface...he gets belligerent, as always, rocking the mic like he's in a fucking dog fight. You gotta love his shit.
Stay Posted for more tracks from the up and coming Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2.
